Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was first to be the first athlete to get a perfect 10 during an Olympic ceremony. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian Gymnastics Coach discovered Comaneci at just seven years old. She began competing in the junior national championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She took the title in 1970. At her first international event in 1972 at a pre-Olympic Junior event for countries of the communist bloc she was awarded three gold medals as well as in 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior championship. In addition, she won four gold and one silver in the first competition of her senior level, held in 1975. This was the first time she participated as an adult. In 1976, she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games. She also became the first woman in the history of sport to take off the parallel bars by using the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her first professional work was in entertainment during her teens, when she performed as the figure skating duo of the older sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her career in the entertainment business as a teenager. She began her career as model skater with her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show named Ice Capades. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performance.
